What do do with luggage after debarking ship but before late flight home from LAX?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Several possibilities:

IF you stayed at a hotel 1 night before the cruise arrange to leave luggage there after the cruise.

Rent a car and use it for sightseeing and hiding luggage in trunk.

Go to the Long Beach Aquarium where I think they will hold your luggage while you are there.

Visit the Queen Mary .

Otherwise go to the airport and pay for a day pass at one of the lounges.

See if there is a tour offered from the cruise line for folks in your position with tour +transport to the airport afterwards.

If your ship arrives at 9AM, most likely you will not be able to disembark sooner than 10:30 or even 11AM. With LAX, you need to be at the airport no later than 2 hours prior to your flight, so you really don't have any free time at all.

If you are docking at the Carnival pier, you can catch the local "Passport" bus (free) to the aquarium.  They will store your luggage for you there, and you can spend a few hours looking around before catching an Uber or cab to LAX.  (We did this at the beginning of December.)
