Smoking on Enchantment of the Seas

Recommended Posts

Going on a 3 day cruise in February on Enchantment.  Traveling with a large group, several of whom smoke.  Can someone tell me the specific, designated smoking areas on this ship?  I have googled and searched this site and can't find anything specific to EOFTS.  Thanks so much!

One side of the outside of decks 9 and 10.  Also possibly the outside of deck 5.

There is also an indoor smoking lounge, where they allow gambling when at sea.

I love it but although funny, is true, and sad.

Smoking is allowed there 24 hours, whereas gambling has limited times.  Seems to me it's more of a smoking lounge.

The area around the Island Bar on the pool deck seems to be the most congested area where smokers congragate!

Thanks for posting this information, I'll be cruising with a companion who is a smoker (and I am not) on the Enchantment in May and now I can just forward her this picture 🙂

Just got off the Enchantment last week.

I'm not a cigarette smoker, but do enjoy cigars when on vacations.

Cigar smoking is allowed only in outdoor spaces, deck 9 starboard, & deck 5 port, so not in the indoor casino.

Out of Galveston, I've booked 3 cruises on the Liberty since they have an indoor cigar smoking lounge on 4th deck, with nice comfy chairs, bar, & ESPN on TV.  Hurry before they get rid of that space next refurb...

I don't know why they are getting rid of those lounges. I think it gives the ships some mystique of the golden age if sailing!

Because the "mystique of the golden age of sailing..." doesn't exist anymore in today's "low upfront cost, then nickle & dime the new generations of cruisers" cruise business model.  The square footage of these lounges doesn't produce enough income/revenue for the cruise lines.  It's also more politically correct, as there's more anti-smoking Nazis onboard (& online here).

I'll sure miss this great "time to getaway..." cigar lounge, & the great people who go to relax with a good cigar....
