This is the one that looks like people on the corner aft cabin on 11  unless that's the stairway from deck ll up and down to deck 10.

The stairway on the far left is the one that leads from deck 12 down to the Sunset bar.   This was added when they transformed that deck 12 space into the rooftop terrace.    The people at the end of the arrow are standing at what used to be  the  top of the stairs from the sunset bar to the AQ rooms on Deck 11.  Then the people at the bottom center are on the back of the Deck 10/Sunset bar space.

The camera would need to swing to the right to see the aft-facing balconies.

We don't like the new look.👎👎

Me neither!  They call this 'revolutionary'?  I thought that going from black and white TV to color was truly revolutionary.

But doing the reverse and calling it revolutionary???  That must have been one tremendous sale on grey paint!

Wow, looks just like I remember it on S Class!

I think it is S class!

Look at the windows at the back? Don’t M class have the rounder windows.

That looks likes Deck 5 on S class:

Top = S Class.

Bottom = M Class

media mistake me thinks!

First picture I have seen of the new entrance to Blu.

They should make an entrance wall like this on EDGE instead of the curtain. It might  improve acoustics...and  better sep  the area from the hallway to

EDEN.

Nice that M and  S  class BLU have windows that look out to the sea..On Edge they are next to life boat, davit and large window washer..only one little peek to the water...past the outdoor seating area..seldom used!

Agree.. the photo looks like S class

Hope they keep the chairs.  Ones on EDGE are odd.. so they added  pillows(?)

My father in law loves gray. He try's to use it whenever he paints. But then, he's color blind.

My work office is greys/beiges, now my favoured cruise (vacation) line is grey ... sighhhhhh

Maybe the lines (colours) will be so blurred that when I’m at work, I can think I’m on vacation (vs. on vacation, thinking I’m at work!)

Came across some pictures posted by Mark A Callahan on another site of an Ocean View Cabins and noticed the really improved the electrical plugs and added USB ports both on the wall and on the bedside light.

Jim - Mark Callahan posted additional photos too.  I ran into post 1 (which are above) and then 3, but missed 2.  I'll wait to see if you are in the process.  But the comment on this one was funny, said it looked like bacon.

I saw his second post was trying to figure out how to post a link the the FB page.    His 3rd post has lots of pictures of the ship.   Nice job.

My first thought was BACON.

What on earth are they trying to do there?  They just removed 90% of the shady spots.  Better stand in the perfect spot if it's raining.   Terrible change, imho.

Lucky you for the "move up" offer. May I ask, did you book directly through Celebrity or a TA and did the email come directly from Celebrity? We book through a big box TA and they do not monitor email upsell offers from the cruise lines. Thanks for any info on the "move up" info.

We booked directly through Celebrity and the email came directly from Celebrity.  What I know is that anyone booking a Sky Suite or Concierge and Aqua class were offered upgrades to Suites.  One couple we met were in Aqua class and got the offer for a "bid" to SkySuite.  Our offer was to bid on an upgrade from our booked Sky Suite to either Celebrity Suite or Royal Suite.

KRB-AMB, is there any covering over the balcony?  We are in 6133  July 24, 2020 to Alaska. What date are you sailing?

There is a cover on the balcony but only over the section where the hot tub is.  The rest is open.  We liked getting the sun on the veranda in the other sections but you are TOTALY exposed to the other decks above that look straight down to the veranda.

Remember that the definition of revolution in terms of planetary motion is that the object (planet) makes a complete loop and returns to where it started.  So, in that context, B&W to color to B&W is, technically, a revolution.

When they can look down and see you, you can look up and see them.  :classic_wink:

Here are a few photos that you all may be interested in...

My wife modeling the robes we found in our cabin upon arrival!  Embroidered with our initials!

The hot tub on the retreat deck.  This area is directly at the bow of the ship directly behind and above the helipad.  It's fairly windy but they did a good job of screening with glass so that it's not horrible.  There are lots of lounges, Bali style beds and chaises... it was a delightful escape from the general pool area.  There is also bar and light lunch service there too.

Two shots from Royal Suite 6134.  As mentioned earlier all of the outlets were upgraded and there are USB ports.  Plenty of USA plugs as we'll as euro style plugs.  In the Sky Suite there is a sound bar in the living room which is blue tooth.  I managed to connect one of our phones to it so we could stream Pandora on the speaker. Sadly Celebrity did not have a music channel on the TV so we enjoyed having some music to listen to.

We were really happy with the areas for the suite customers and spent 75% of our free time in our cabin, the escape lounge or the escape deck area.

Shout out to our favorite person.. if anyone sees Alex (Suite Class Concierge in the Retreat Lounge) tell her Ken & Anne send our love!  WONDERFUL girl who bent over backwards to assist people.  Since it was the first week after the dry dock there were some minor issues which she took in stride.  We expected there to be some things that did not work as they should being that the ship was effectively new.

Not us, there are none left for our cruise. We will be saling in AQ.
