Insurance through Viking

I purchased Trip Mate insurance through Viking.  I broke my shoulder and had to cancel my trip.  I filed and my claim was approved. I’ve waited over their 30 day guarantee and still no refund. I was told by 3 different Trip Mate customer service people (one was even a supervisor) that its “in accounting “ can’t say when I’ll get a check, it’s all up to accounting.  Needless to say I’m very upset and will never purchase insurance from Trip Mate insurance company again. Warning BUYER BE WARE!

If you do a brief look at this board you will see many similar complaints about the slow processing by Trip Mate. For a river cruise such as yours, the average result was about two months after all the paperwork has been submitted.  If you have a 30 day processing guarantee from Viking, you might want to start complaining to them.
