*ms Oosterdam in Port Everglades - Sail a Way - January 19th, 2019 *

Recommended Posts

It’s another busy day in Port Everglades.  Very busy.

Just one blue hulled beauty but she is doing two itineraries that are probably bringing a  lot of people in to escape from the grip of Old Man Winter.  Let’s hope they can all get in safely with the weather we are having right now.

Oosterdam is scheduled to be at pier 26 (the usual) and leave at 4:00 pm (NOTE -a LOT of ships are scheduled to leave at 4 pm. )

Her first itinerary is the 7 day Tropical Caribbean

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (19 Jan d1700); Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (20 Jan 0800-1700); Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (22 Jan 0800-1700); Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos (23 Jan 0800-1700); Amber Cove, Dominican Republic (24 Jan 0800-1700); Fort Lauderdale, Florida (26 Jan a0700)

Her other itinerary that some are taking is the 14 night Eastern Caribbean/Tropical Caribbean

my sister is coming in on the Oosterdam, doubtful she will make it home to Vermont tomorrow!  Big storm on the way and then back to 20 below on Monday!  I'll be watching!

Just wanted to let you know that my docs still say departure at 5 pm, not 4 pm, unless something has changed that HAL didn't inform us about.

SAIL DATE: Saturday Jan 19 / 5:00 PM

SHIP NAME: OOSTERDAM

We lost 2 hours overnight so I will be around only if she can squeeze departure in after dinner and before the show.  Sadly, with the Oosterdam I will likely miss a good sow.

I suspect your docs are right.

The Port Everglades schedule (which I used) shows her going at 4 pm ?

The itinerary shows her at 5 pm.  I’m guessing Port Everglades departure time will change during the day?

Great picture Allen.

Storm is suppose to start around 10 AM -- have no idea what we will start with -- rain, ice, sleet, snow???

Thanks for the picture.

I'm late getting to the computer this morning, so I missed the sail in.

Hoping that the weather forecasts are wrong and that storm isn't too bad.

Good luck KK and all in the path.  Stay safe, hope your power stays on.
