Persian Garden advice.

This will be our first trip with Celebrity. We are sailing on the Equinox soon. We got Aqua class , so it includes being able to take advantage of the Persian Gardens. I know absolutely nothing about it. I would like to hear about some of your favorite experiences, and tips to make it as nice and comfortable as possible.

Bring your SeaPass card which you will present at the desk.  They will give you an entry card in exchange.  The best part is the heated tile chairs.  There is a sauna and steam room located in that area.   Open showers are there as well.  Large towels are provided for the chairs and showers.

When you board, there is often a tour of the  options in that area which include the gym, massage rooms, Persian Gardens, etc.  We take that tour and often we get a quick neck or back massage which is a great way to start the trip.

Agree with Snow Bunny and Keesar, love the heated loungers.  In addition to the Persian Gardens, you will have access to the Relaxation Room on "I believe" Deck 11, front of the ship under the Spa.  This is just a quiet room (think Solarium without pool and people).   If you have a rainy/cool day, it is a nice place to find an indoor comfortable seat to read and relax (with tea/coffee bar).

Check your sea pass card when you get it back and that goes for any time you give your card to an employee.  The same goes with Credit Cards anywhere.

My wife used the Persain Gardens. Gave her card and then got it back when turning in the pass.   They asked for her first name.  She didn’t  look at the card.  About one hour  later we went to our cabin and her card didn’t unlock the door.  She looked at the card and seen the first name was the same but the last wasn’t.

She called the other persons cabin and that lady didn’t notice either.  Her husband used his card to open the door.

We exchanged cards and thanked her for the drinks we had,  the jewelry we bought, and the casino play 🤑🎰.  And then had a good laugh. 🤗.  We also made some new cruise friends.

Tip.   Don’t snore, carry on a conversation, or use the speaker on your phone or tablet in the area.  If crowded and people are waiting don’t stay longer than 30 minutes per the posted sign.  Also it helps to lay a towel over the chair when using to help keep the heat in.

Some people go up there and sleep and snore.  Go to your room to do that!   It's called a relaxation room not a sleep and snore room.

Thank you.  I take it that the area is co-ed? What is the appropriate clothing to where?

It is co-ed.  You should wear what you are comfortable with ... but it isn't clothing optional.  I go in active wear or bathing suit with a cover up.

You should wear a bathing suit butif you wish to use the rain showers, steam rooms and etc.  if you just want to relax on the loungers wear what is comfortable.  It isn’t a one time visit or anything to be concerned about. I am sure you can figure it out and you can always go back whenever you wish.

I've never seen them wiped down between clients which is why we always use towels. I don't know if they're stone, but they are some type of hard surface covered in tile. We use several towels and one rolled like a pillow.

We had to leave as I thought I would be sick listening to the snoring

Last time we used Persian Gardens we found out they gave my card to someone else. I had to go to get a new card. They laughed it off saying not to worry it happens all the time, whereas I saw it at a safety issue. I needed to go to Guest Services in person to have them deactivate our current cards and reissue new cards since they had no idea who they gave my card to.

So if people are waiting but there is a snorer/someone on the phone... Is it ok to ask the staff to intervene? If there is a 30 min wait and folks are camped there all day (have seen people in the solarium pool sleep or in the same spot for HOURS)

Are the lounges wiped down/cleaned after each use?  I've seen people lie on them with no towel...just wondering.

eeeewww good point

probably the same issue in saunas etc

Then again--have seen people in the solarium pool for hours and hours and wonder about Depends, pool chlorine etc.

Chlorine smell = high urine etc

"Pool smell is due, not to chlorine, but to chloramines, chemical compounds that build up in pool water when it is improperly treated. Chloramines result from the combination of two ingredients: (a) chlorine disinfectants and (b) perspiration, oils and urine that enter pools on the bodies of swimmers."

I am a big time fan of the Persian Gardens on the S class ships.

My late afternoon routine is to head down around 4:30 PM. I spend 20 minutes or so on the loungers (never have had to wait) the 15 minutes in the steam room followed by the rain shower (I prefer the Spring rain storm setting).

I then towel off, exchange my Persian Gardens pass for my Sea Pass card and return to the room around 5:15.

Lockers?

Do you bring a change of clothes.

We are sailing AQ and haven't used the spa before

Yes, I use the lockers and change back to shorts and a t-shirt. I use their robe and shower clogs. The robes and clogs are one size fits most.

The area  is supposed to be a relaxing room.   It is not a gathering room to socialize and there are signs that read to limit  your time to  30 minutes if people are waiting, and be respectful to others by being quiet.  The problem is too many people don’t think it applies to them.

As for the snoring public I am sure many don’t do it on purpose and can be embarrassing for some.

The Solarium is a completely different area.
