OCruisers Posted February 8, 2019 #1 Posted February 8, 2019 On Caribbean Princess last month we had a Cruise Director and an Entertainment Director. Both were listed as officers. The Entertainment Director wore an officers uniform and was very low key with little interaction with passengers. Seems the duties were totally admistrative -- attending staff meetings, being in charge of the Patter, etc. The Cruise Director wore "normal" clothes and was very high profile & quite active with passengers. Wonder if having both is now fleetwide with Princess?

rkacruiser Posted February 8, 2019 #3 Posted February 8, 2019 HAL also has the same management set-up. I don't know that I ever saw the Entertainment Director on the Nieuw Statendam.
AF-1 Posted February 9, 2019 #4 Posted February 9, 2019 (edited) I personally think it is a good idea. The cruise director should be more involved with all that goes on aboard the ship, having that personal interaction with all the guests while: The Entertainment Director can concentrate on all the shows happening around the ship. Have fun out there Edited February 9, 2019 by AF-1
