Yes, you're the reason I went ahead and submitted mine for Sept., & Nov. of this year, and got this response back. 🤣

That's why I had stated earlier some fell through the cracks, (lucky you).  But no problem will just resubmit after April 1st when they suggested.  It's just easier to go ahead and do things ahead of time and not have to think about it.  We will probably receive a new statement prior to then also.  I also noticed how they asked to mail or fax only instead of the scan & email that I have always done in the past.  I will try to do it the same again and see if it goes through after the date.

Yeah. I just submitted all because I don't fax often...and didn't want to have to fax again this year.

I notice on Carnival's website that the Shareholder Benefit of onboard credit expires on July 31, 2019.  Does anyone know when they vote to extend it another year, or not? My upcoming cruise departs after that date.

I wouldn't worry about it going away any time soon.  We've been using the shareholder benefits for about 10 years now.  It is subject to the board approving it every year though.  We have probably gotten about $1500 in OBC since buying our stock many years ago.

Is it 100 shares that have to be owned to get the shareholder benefits?

Yes, you need to own 100 shares.  They need to all be in the same account, and the owner must be a passenger in the cabin to receive the credit.  So, if your husband owns the stock in his own 401k or brokerage account, he must be a passenger to request the credit.  I also own 100 shares of CCL stock in my own IRA account.  When we traveled with both of our girls, we booked my husband and I in separate rooms so that we could both get the OBC.  We have usually gotten the credit applied to our account within a day or two after submitting our request.

Does this credit show in your Cruise Manager online prior to sailing?  Thx

For me, sometimes it has, and sometimes it hasn't.  But it's always been there when I've boarded.

Definitely.  I have an IRA, and the investment money has to go somewhere.  The stockholder benefit is something I've been collecting from my IRA for 5 years, not to mention the dividends.  It's been one of the better investments in my portfolio.

I faxed in my shareholder information and got an email back confirming my on board credit. However, with the new the new format, I don't see it listed anywhere in my booking. Can anyone advise where to look to find this information?

About half the time I can never find it in my cruise manager, so I just make sure to bring my confirmation with me.  But, it's always been there when I've boarded.

This is the response I received when submitting my 2 cruises for later this year.  I think this answers both questions.

(Thank you for submitting your shareholder brokerage statement. The shareholder benefits are currently only applicable to sailings through July 31, 2019. In order to apply your onboard credit on your reservation, you will need to submit a current statement after March 31, 2019 when the new shareholder benefits are released.)

Currently available for voyages through JULY 31, 2020.  Must be booked by Feb 28, 2020.

Must submit documentation at least 3 weeks before embarkation.
