5th oasis class ship

It's probably been brought up already but I was unable to find anything while searching. Has anyone seen any info about a 5th oasis class ship being built anytime in the near future?

It is being done, but no information has been released about it.

They just cut steel for Odyssey, the Quantum Plus ship that is the ship before OA#5. 

 

Royal tends to be tight lipped about these things and tends to focus on builds in progress and generating hype for them while not going out of their way to promote ships that aren't yet in the build cycle.  

 

Very little is known about OA#5.

The agreement for the 5th Oasis class ship was signed in May 2016 and the ship is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2021.

The Odyssey is being built in Germany and Oasis 5 in France so that steel cutting doesn't really have any bearing on Oasis 5.  I'm not sure what's in the pipeline at Chantiers de l'Atlantique and that's really what's going to drive the timeframe for Oasis 5 to have a Spring 2021 debut.

Odyssey has everything to do with Royal being mum on OA5.  in the coming months Royal will tease us with Odyssey tidbits.  They will remain silent in OA5 to maximize hype on Odyssey.

That's true. The shipyard will announce when steel cutting has commenced on the Oasis 5 as that's a watershed moment... but you're right, until that moment details on Oasis 5 will be minimal.
