Specialty dining question

Recommended Posts

When 3 people are booked in a cabin and you take the dining package perk the first 2 get 3 nights each. Can the third person use those credits as well, so 3 of us go out 2 nights?

SDP is not transferable. Guest 3 can't (shouldn't) use the promo from guest 1 or 2.

There is a chance that the server will "look the other way" and run it through but it technically isn't allowed.

I have a similar question.  Three of us are sailing together, in two cabins.  My BFF has no status, and I'm not sure what booking perk she'll pick, but I'm guessing the drink package.  That will partly depend on the answer to my question.

DH and I are in one cabin with platinum perks, and we're considering choosing the dining package as one of our booking perks.  Can we use our platinum dining certificate for the two of us to dine, and use one of our dining package perks for the 3rd person to join us?  Or is the dining perk limited to the person receiving it as their perk?

Thanks!

Simple Answer: no; you can't "share" the dining package nor the Platinum Certificate; neither are transferable.   BUT talk to the person on the desk as you go for your meal and see if it would be allowed.

You should be able to do it the other way round to give your friend a couple of meals.

Whilst the platinum meal is for two, you don’t both have to be platinum. One of you can take a friend.

So, for one of the meals you and your friend use the platinum voucher whilst your husband uses the SDP. At the other meal, your husband uses the voucher with your friend and you use the SDP.

You both then have two SDP credits each to use together.

I was actually wondering if that scenario would work or not.  It really doesn't seem like NCL should really care *who* eats *where*.  They offer up XX number of specialty meals, and must figure you'll eat your other meals in another of their restaurants, complimentary or otherwise.  As long as you don't cheat them out of any specialty meals, it really shouldn't matter, right?

Thanks for the info, Keith.
