The votes have been tallied.     The precious grab and go hoagies have been voted off the menu.

Please extinguish your torch and head back to camp.

The Tribe has spoken.

Seattle has spoken - they feed me cheaply and easily. Why stop a good thing?

I don't mean "jello" but rather than so many desserts with whipped cream, foams, etc use gelatin to stabilize them.  They look pretty, all nicely layered and hold up for days.

Got it. 🍰

Lol...those  are my pet peeve, too!  Seems like for a short period there, all the cruise lines were doing the gelatin thing.  But apparently the customers weren't buying it, because the desserts are pretty good again.  I bake a lot, so I'm like Inspector Clouseau -- I can detect the cheap gelatin technique.

And you want jello -- I swear that one time they put out jelled gelatin colored with green food color as their own version of mint jelly with the lamb.  No joke!   I won't even mention the cruise line on that one, because it was such an egregious one-off.

The virtue of the Grab and Go sandwiches, besides being very fresh and delicious, is no lines and no waiting.  Only delay is surveying them all to make your own best choice. They have cut samples on the counter shelf above them so you can see the insides.

Nothing tacky about the speedy service feature at all. Grab a little bag of potato chips as well from the same station. Take that sandwich anywhere you want to enjoy it now or later. They have been a great addition to the HAL bill of fare.

Hungry and lines in the Lido- hit the Grab and Go station. They picked the perfect name for this option.

Sounds like a lot of carbs to me.....😂

They often offer a "crisp" of some kind in the MDR for dessert -- peach, berry, apple, etc.

The banana crisp is the best.   The others could not compete, IMHO.  YMMV

I think a lot depends on the ship.    Bread pudding on the Zuiderdam this spring was excellent.  Addictive.   Last year on the Nieuw Amsterdam I kept wondering "what's all the fuss about?  this tastes like cardboard"

Pavlova in the PG on the NA last year was too hard and crispy, and only found in the PG.   The Zuiderdam got it right, both in the PG, Neptune Lounge, and in the Lido.

Someone mentioned liver and onions.   I have not seen it yet, and wish I had.  Yum.
