Are these the ruins closest to Progreso, MX?  We've been to Ultan Ha in Belize and have seen pictures of some of the other ruins in Belize, but these look spectacular!  Love how that one is a lot taller than the trees.

Edited because I don't know how I got both posts to quote.  The ones in Cozumel are gorgeous too, love the water.  🙂

Yes, Uxmal is about an hour-ish drive from Progreso. This was the only excursion that we have ever booked through Carnival because of the travel time. The ruins are absolutely spectacular!

I don’t think I’ve seen this beer yet. Where is it?

I'm pretty sure you'll find Caribs all over. I definitely had them in St Kitts too. I know I've seen them elsewhere. Many of the shops and stores will have them for around $2.

After muster drill on my last Breeze sailing our cabin steward forgot to retreive the (Cabin Evacuated Sign) from the outside of our stateroom door.😊

Yup, I drank Carib in St. Kitts and St. Maarten. I also had a beer called 'Stag' in St. Kitts which was very good (better than Carib IMO).

That's a great photo of your ship - now History!

You may have noticed that I recently assembled a Member Album

of Those First Few Carnival Ships, twenty six pictures of them

saved from various sources on the internet generally.

I'd love to include this well-taken photo of yours, in this photo collection on CC

but thought I should ask your permission, first.

I hope for a positive reply.

Sincerely,

Aplmac

Hey there Aplmac!

Of course you can use this picture.  I always enjoy your beautiful pictures that you share, so I'm actually honored.  🙂  If you'd like, I have a few more, including from Barbados and one from San Juan.  Our itinerary was out of San Juan, but we had to board on the other side of the bay since they had the Christopher Columbus replica ships where Festival normally docked.  It was the 500th Anniversary celebration.  Our itinerary then was St. Thomas; St. Maarten; Dominica for 1/2 day; Barbados; Martinique; Sea Day and back to San Juan.  My husband seems to remember getting off Festival where the ships normally dock in San Juan.

I still think it's sad that poor Festival is at a scrap yard in Alang.  I saw that several years ago and actually found a similar picture to the one you have.  I love the collection of pictures you put together of them.  Thanks for doing that.  🙂

I'd love to post these two as well, to that same history album?

Amazing what a little Photoshop can do...

I’m for bringing back those games. Let me chug some beer then give me a gun. What could go wrong?
