HAL in Asia 2020?

HAL is still in process of releasing fall 2020 to spring 2021 sailings.

South America was just loaded today and the. Westerdam will be replacing Zaandam on those routes.

Either Oosterdam or Noordam are the most likely candidates for SE Asia and Australia/NZ. Those should hopefully release in the next month or two.

Konigsdam is a bit of a wild card though I'm somewhat confident she will be placed on Circle Hawaii and Mexico cruises from San Diego, although she could go to SE Asia or Australia/NZ with Noordam or Oosterdam remaining on the US West coast.

Maasdam, Amsterdam and Volendam still have full deployments to be announced though there are some things we can guess - Amsterdam is rumored for Grand Africa in fall 2020 and World Cruise is confirmed for 2021 though not on website yet. Volendam most likely will do a Grand South America again and Maasdam will most likely continue her EXC in-depth program, though not sure of where those sailings will take her.

HAL seems to just release stuff at random, so patience and perseverance pay off when looking at future deployments.

We are thinking about doing a HAL circle Japan cruise in August 2021 for our 50th Anniversary. The Maasdam is doing it this year and we would  love to have a Vista Suite in 2021 on the Maasdam. The prices for this August are very very reasonable for a 16 day cruise and air flights are less than flying Europe this year.

Maasdam is replacing Amsterdam for the 14 night Alaska cruises for the full May-September season in 2020, albeit sailing from Vancouver rather than Seattle. HAL will not sail this itinerary on Maasdam (or any other ship) in August 2020. A similar itinerary could be offered as part of their fall 2020 - spring 2021 Japen/SE Asia season when released, though most likely not on Maasdam.

If you want that specific ship on that specific itinerary in the month of August then I would book the 2019 cruise and not hold out for August 2020 as it will not be an option then.

Good morning,

Do you know what the Grand Africa itinerary would be?  Has HAL given any information about the proposed itinerary for World Cruise 2021?  I have been waiting patiently for any news about those two Voyages.

Thank you,

Debbie

On the Prinsendam a few weeks ago we were told by the future cruise consultant that it would be roundtrip Ft Lauderdale & would circle Africa clockwise (ie. starting with the Med then down around Capetown).  She didn't know anything more than this.  She also thought we would get an itinerary before the cruise ended on March 25, but she was wrong about that, so who know?
