Golf while in Cobh/Cork

Recommended Posts

My husband and I are going on the Celebrity Reflection in June 2019 with three other couples and the men want to play golf on our second day in Cobh/Cork while the ladies head to the Waterford factory.  Since we have an overnight in port, getting off the ship first thing in the morning will not be a problem and we are in port until 7:00pm that evening.  We have already looked into Old Head, but does anyone have any other suggestions?  Is there someone out there who has golfed in that region who may be able to answer questions?  Thanks in advance for your help!

Vmax for a 9am ship arrival in Cobh, would a 1030 teetime at Deerpark be reasonable?

Could be done ok if you are off the ship promptly and get a taxi immediately. Trip is only 15/20 mins. I would prefer to book 11 am to allow for warm up etc.
