Would you recommend a veranda or to the better cabins still get all the perks? Since it is a charter, some things will be different. In suites, you do not get Go Best, but still get Michael's Club and Luminae and I imagine upper suites get their extra perks, but I'm not sure. AQ has the same perks, including Blu. Concierge doesn't have the welcome lunch, most likely, but other in room perks are likely the same. We did board by cabin type last time. Captain's Club perks don't count - the host isn't even around. We were able to get our internet package and beverage packages with the Elite Plus discounts before the cruise. We've did a suite for the first one and AQ for the last one. I did try to get a sky suite for this one to have Michael's for drinks and not get the drink packages. The cost difference is about the same as 2 packages. We weren't able to get one, but we love Blu so happy to be there. The MDR is set up for 2 seatings to match the 2 evening concerts, though I don't think you have to be there exactly at a certain time (there is a range). There are few small tables, if any - they are set up so that you will share will other guests. I think that may be why AQ people are going to the MDR - they want to meet people. We are Gold, so we go to the early concert (6:30) and dine after - we usually go to Blu between 8:00 and 8:30. The other group is Silver and they go to the 9:00 show and dine earlier - ~6 or 6:30. This works out well as they are very strict about seeing your cards before entering the theater. There are plenty of seats for everyone this way. We usually line up around 5:45 (will be DH this time) and they will let us in around 6:00. We don't care about front row seats and always are able to get good seats. The front row people line up pretty early. The public sale opens on 4/11. Last year about 85% of the cabins were sold out for the following year by the time we left the ship to the guests onboard so if you want to go, be ready to jump on it! They were sold out a couple of weeks after the last cruise. 🙂 Edited March 30, 2019 by vtcruising

vtcruising Posted March 30, 2019 Author #40 Share Posted March 30, 2019 We partied like it was 1999 last night and somehow I woke up feeling full of energy and ready to go! We first went to the FPC party in the garden area - a good group of people - lots of tie dye. This is a really nice space. FlorenceItaly suggested the Golden Lyon Happy Hour and that was the next stop of our fun evening. Haley was an amazing bartender and made the best cosmos I have ever had. We then moved on to Indigo for a yummy dinner of fish and chips. It was Motown night and this guy did a one man show as DJ/saxophonist. Oh my, could he play the sax! We sat there amazed - what a fun night!! It's a gorgeous day for the flower power peeps to board the Infinity! There's a lot of excitement here and we can't wait to get the party started! Time for the final preparations and then off to T25! 😊
vtcruising Posted March 30, 2019 Author #41 Share Posted March 30, 2019 Onboard and enjoying the vibe. Wasn’t too much of a hassle to board, but I like the suite entry better. 😉 We arrived at the terminal a little before 11 and there must have been 500 people lined up, most in tie dye! Quite a sight! We just stayed by the door thinking they would be let in soon and sure enough, as soon as we got there, they started letting people in. We waited for a while and then when someone asked if anyone needed the elevator I said yes since my leg wasn’t going to last much longer. We went to the elevator and were up in the main terminal quickly. Even though it is a charter, they had lines for Elite Plus so as new EP people we got to go there. 🙂 we did have to sit on the seating awhile since they had to clear the ship and decorate it for the FPC. We were onboard by 1145. That walkway is not great for people with mobility issues - at least mine is temporary. We skipped the champagne and headed for Sushi on 5. With so many already onboard we knew the OVC would be crazy. The Martini Bar was already full! 😀 Okay, you know that I love the Edge and have done 4 Edge cruises, so you are probably wondering what I thought about getting on this older, non/revolutionized ship. Well, I was pleasantly surprised at how happy I was to see Cellar Masters, Rendezvous, glass elevators and the big table on my balcony and coffee table (I almost kissed the coffee table). 😉 it is like a comfortable pair of shoes after wearing the pricey fashionable heels. I think I have room in my heart for all 3 X classes - just like a mother - your kids are different, but you love them all!!🙂 Sushi on 5 did not disappoint!! The lobster ramen is still there, the Asian Pear cocktail is still wonderful and the shrimp tempura roll was fantastic!!!!!! Charlie was our wonderful waiter and we will likely eat lunch there a lot this week!! The cabin was then ready. We like the spot near the elevator and the balcony is decent-sized. No footstools- I will ask because I need to elevate my leg. I brought my blow up one in case. It is grey though and this cabin is so not Kelly Hoppen!!😉 The wonderful 60’s music has begun and life us way cool on the Flower Power Cruise!!😎 B90C71F1-E9B7-4960-B1BD-E1C29E4F23CA.MOV
