Hello,

this has probably been asked a million times, but with all the travel advisories in Nassau I’m wondering how safe the cabs are. We are heading over to Breezes for the day and will need a cab ride over. Is there a preferred cab to look for or just grab one out of the line? TIA

It’s very easy to get a cab, we’ve never felt unsafe, even when our family of 7 were faught over.

Tons of cabs and the prices are regulated.  No worries.

While the prices are technically regulated, our experience has been that the cabbies are not above trying to squeeze extra money out of you. Trips in from the airport are usually at published fares, but local jaunts are more subject to price inflation. We typically consult the official cab price list before arriving to know what to expect. Also, most good resorts publish the list in their lobby. Always ask the price before you enter the cab. Cruisers are most subject to abuse, as they typically have no time or desire to protest a gross overcharge.

Here's the current Union Taxi rates.   Agree on a price before you get into the cab.   Don't forget the tip.
