No Show or Cancel Last Minute?

Recommended Posts

We are scheduled to leave on a cruise tomorrow and unfortunately we may not be able to go on the trip. We are within driving distance so we probably won't make the decision until tomorrow morning. No insurance because it was only a 2-day and it was so cheap. I'm not worried about the money or any kind of refund, but was was just wondering if it is better to call and inform Celebrity we won't be there or just not show up. Or does it make a difference?  Thanks for any advice.

It would be polite to let them know in advance.  If you know you are not going to board don't make them wait for you.  I don't imagine it would make any legal difference - but why put the crew though worrying about leaving without you if you can avoid it?

I'd suggest calling or emailing if you have to cancel. It most likely won't matter, but every so often I've heard nice stories of some consideration by the cruise lines and even if there's not, it never hurts to be considerate.

I vote for letting them know, also. I am sorry you may not be able to take the cruise.

If you cancel, taxes/fees should be refunded to you.  Nor sure if that happens for no shows.
