Twin beds converted to queen

Too late for this cruise but maybe for next cruise or help for someone else.

Anyone who sleeps in the middle of bed, either alone or cuddled-up, how do you keep the mattresses from separating?

They usually just put a mattress cover over both beds to make it one. Unless they make rubber bands large enough to fit around, not sure what else can be done

We've NEVER had a "hole" open in the middle.. They use ONE fitted sheet to connect both beds...and it doesn't slide apart, at least, it hasn't with us...and my hubby was in the 250 LB range then.

That’s what we have experienced on HAL, Celebrity and Cunard — the mattress pad effectively covered the crack - which was simply not noticeable.

Some beds have a Velcro strip which helps keep the beds together as well.

I'm pretty sure that  I have also encountered mattresses which zipped together.

I''ll just add my 2cents...in over 40 cruises, we have never had the beds "come apart" at all.  Unless you are really doing a lot of "bedtime gymnastics" with a really lot of gusto, you should have no problems..  Enjoy your cruise! 😉

No, the beds didn't come apart, just the mattresses. We did enjoy our cruise but with 2 kids in the room the only times we were in there, no "bedtime gymnastics" 😴 😞

I must be doing it all wrong because I haven't had the beds come apart yet.😋
