Disembark time in Civitavecchia

Recommended Posts

Trying to organize private transportation back to Rome at the end of our cruise.

What would be a reasonable time window to tell the driver?

what time does it say it is due to arrive

Disembark time depends on where you are on the ship it usually goes by cabin numbers or classes and also if you are disembarking to get a flight back.

You could ask for self disembark which means you can get off as soon as the port authority give permission you will have to take your own bags off with this option

Thank you!

It gets to Civitavecchia at 7 am

We’re okay with being the last group off as we can’t get into our accommodations until noon.

So I guess the question is would we be able to stay on til at least 10?

don't see why not as all the european POC are disembark and embark days and if you put out your bags the night before they will be at the collection point in the port ready for you to pick up

We were in the same situation on MSC disembarking in civi and going to hotel.  I arranged driver for 9;30 (arranged before the trip). We were assigned one of the last exit times which was 8:45 or so which worked out fine.   Technically you could probably stay on board later but I am not sure I would want my luggage by itself in the claiming area.   Self debarkation means you would have your luggage but you won’t have a cabin.   They are going to change the locks early on your cabin.    Have fun....

You can request the last disembarkation time at Guest Services so that your luggage will be last off;  rhis is usually around 10am. Do this a couple of days early.   You can also stay onboard a little longer as the ship isn't being cleared out (unlike in Miami, where everybody has to be off early for turnaround).  We often have a coffee and hot chocolate around 11am before disembarking when we have time to kill;  our drinks package still covers us, too.
