Sorry if this has been covered already....can you use your OBC in the casino? I have some Funpoints I can use either on a May cruise for excursions (will have to book onboard) with my DD or a Sept cruise with the hubby in the casino. I've been sailing MSC and we could charge playing funds (table games) to our S&S account - it was actually a cheap way to get cash since they didn't charge a fee for this.

Yes you can but when you use sign and sail card there is a 3 percent charge. I have done this. I have heard of people going to the slot putting money on the slot and then cashing it out. Someone else will surely tell you what to do at slots

There is no 3% fee when you use your sign and sail in the slot machine.

Just charge whatever amount to your card.  NO FEE

They charge if you use your card at the tables.

I really appreciate the help, but just need to clarify...

Use OBC at the tables - no fees, no problem

At the tables, ask them to put a $100 on my S&S account - 3% fee or no fee?

Slots - use S&S, no fees

Again...thanks! I'm trying to see if I need to bring more cash or which cruise to use the OBC.

Use sign and sail at the slots.......no fee, even for OBC

At the tables.......3% fee UNLESS you're using OBC

Do these strategies still apply if the OBC is funded via a gift card?

To clarify for you, OBC is gift in some way ... either by Carnival, a TA, or given as a reward from the Carnival credit card.  When you fund your S&S using gift cards, that is not OBC, it is simply funding your card.

To answer your question, if you are playing table games charged to your S&S funded with gift cards, yes, there will be a 3% fee.  There is never a fee at the slot machines.

Appreciate it! Is there a way to cash out your OBC through the slot machines?

Any money on slot machines is "cashed out" to your sail and sign card.  Once you do that, you go up to the casino cashier cage and let them know you want to cash out your casino winnings and they will give you the cash.  Also of note, is to be sure to cash out all your winnings at the Casino Cashier's Desk by the last night of your cruise.

FYI you need to play a little on the slot machine before you cash out or they'll cut your charging privileges off.
