What ever happened to Cuba.

Thanks, I do like the itinerary.  However the ship is almost as old as I am, and only has interior, ocean view and suites - no balconies.

I'll wait for a better opportunity.

Yeah it is their oldest and smallest ship - but recently refurbed.  And deck 9 sides location and aft facing, and decks 7-8 aft facing are balconies

I will not go to Cuba until the murderers of NYC police officers who are living there are returned to the US to go on trial.

Not that it matters a hoot to most (and it shouldn't), but I have absolutely zero desire to visit Cuba -- have no interest in the place.

We enjoyed Cuba very much.  But it was on a land trip.  We spent time in Havana and Veradaro.  Wonderful people, wonderful beaches.  We plan to go back.   But not on a cruise since it would not give us enough time.  It is one of our favourite islands in the  Caribbean.

It seems that, for different reasons, Cuba, like most Mediterranean destinations, is better experienced by land travel. Extreme limitations, whether due to politics or short times in ports, make cruising a less-than-ideal way to experience the area.

Agree.  One of the issues may be the restrictions imposed by cruise ship tours and by Governments.

When we went we had no restrictions whatsoever.  Cuba has been one of the top winter AI vacation destinations for Canadians for years.   Now, some AI's are including land tours.  More and more people are simply flying down on their own and doing tours, including bicycle tours, of island.

Thanks.  I've been to Cuba before but the resort was several hours from Havana.  I'd like to see the city and spend a few days in it.

a local radio station in Toronto often has jazz safari trips to Havana  check them out

probably more $ than the resort stays

Check the charter vacations companies  as well
