Three days in and still no Spectrum info

Spectrum launched three days ago. There was a time that within minutes there would be videos and pictures of a new ship

 

Cruise Critic has obviously lost its lustre

From my perspective, I put some real effort in writing reviews of my first five cruises for what was a community

 

It is now a massive profit making big business, where you cannot offer useful advice to people because it might step on the toes of  policy guidelines that pretty much relate directly to their income streams

An interesting opinion, but not one I think is accurate

 

New ships, especially to cheerleaders are always of great interest, and just because it's scheduled to cruise out of Shanghai, doesn't mean you're not allowed to go on it

There are a couple of pictures of her in the members gallery.  Surely, reviews will be coming.

 

Knowing that she was for a very specific market, I must say that I haven't felt the curiosity I would normally have about a new build.  She looks quite interesting though.  The family suite looks to be quite something.

I have seen a ton of pics from friends on their FB page but I don't want to post other's pics. However we will be boarding May 4 in Dubai sailing to Singapore and I promise loads of pics! She is an absolutely gorgeous ship and our friends are having a fabulous time so far.

I have been visiting this site for over a decade and it is the first time this has happened - I am hoping a new independent version arises from its ashes

Have you tried searching Shanghai travel papers??

It should be fairly self explanatory regarding the lack of interest/excitement and coverage of Spectrum given that CC's members are predominantly Western and Spectrum is going to China and has been built specifically for that market. I will probably never sail on her so I can't get excited. I'm sure there will be plenty of coverage for Odyssey.

 

That said, I would like to see pictures as she is still part of the fleet.

I'll be on the Spectrum next month! Definitely planning on doing a l-o-n-g review, but will be posting pics/vids on FB and Instagram while we're onboard, too 🙂

Thank you for the images, the viewing area looks great, and there also appears to be a sort of atrium bar

 

So far it looks a step up from Quantum [ordinary] class
