I don't leave anything.  I've never asked the steward for anything other than standard services.

We typically tip our Steward between $100.00 and $200.00, depending on the length of our cruise. If staying in the Haven, we also tip our Butler and Concierge, according to how much we utilize their services.

Never met or tipped Stewart but have slipped our cabin Steward extra $20 on occasion .

If the steward is named Stewart, he was destined to have the job.

If the concierge is named Connie, she was destined to have the job.

If the butler is named Jeeves, Alfred, or Butler, he was destined to have the job.

Therefore, I have higher expectations which makes a tip more difficult to earn.

I personally tip $20 and so does whoever I am with (my SO or my sister) for a total of $40. I selected $20 from the options.

We prepay gratuities and also leave $5 a day in the cabin for him plus a $20 on the last day.

$5 per day.  Same as I would leave at a hotel.  Rounded up.  So on a 7 day cruise will give them $40

Depends on the quality of service - sometimes nothing sometime a lot

It depends on the length of the cruise. We tip 10pp per day. So for a one week cruise

for two people $140. This is in the Haven. More if the steward is good...one time I left

$100 because he was only average.

I was advised to tip our Steward on Day 1 and that's always gotten us fantastic service. We usually leave $20 on Day 1 and then another $20 the day we leave with a hand-written note/card of thanks.

Several hundred dollars, depending on how much he/she helped during the cruise.

For a standard cabin? Seriously?

I always pre-pay gratuities. I voted $20 above. I find my steward on the final morning and thank them while handing them the extra cash. That's based on my last two cruises which were 4 nights each. On each of these two cruises I did not ask for anything "extra". I do ask for/expect twice a day service. I like a steward that I don't see often, is polite when I do see them, and keeps the cabin tidy and stocked.

I voted $20, but usually tip that at the beginning, then another $20 or so at the end. We only stay in an Inside, but I like my towel animals. I haven't cruised since these weren't guaranteed, so I'll continue my usual tipping in hopes that I continue receiving my friends each night. I also keep the service charge in tact. I know others adjust that, but we do not touch it. I do believe that some of that goes to our steward. I did ask once and was told that some of it does.

Is this on Cunard? If it is remind me never to book a cruise.

Don't have the cash for that.

Compared to what you tipped before the auto gratuity per day, do you tip differently now?

i am finding we do the same now as we did before the auto gratuity?  I always wonder if the auto is truly going to the employees or another revenue stream for NCL that is put in the big income pot that pays the employees, among other expenses?

Nothing above the standard gratuity.  I am not a needy guest, they spend 10 minutes tops in my cabin each day.

$20 for 7 or less days.  Just finished a 10 day and left $20 in the middle and $20 on the last day.
