Catching A Movie In Victoria?

Hey there all,

 

I'll be on a cruise June 1st-8th that will be stopping Victoria. As a big movie fan as well as a lover of movie theaters themselves I thought I'd maybe try to see a movie during the 8 hour window (4pm - midnight).

 

Is there a fancy old movie theater in Victoria that I should check out? Am I silly for seeking out a movie theater instead of an excursion?

Suggest checking out the Vic Theatre, an independent theatre with about 200 seats. Address is 808 Douglas St, which is close to the Empress Hotel.

IMO yes. But we all have different priorities.

I couldn't figure that out at first but then I realized it's the old Nootka Court Mall; what did it used to be called? Used to work at what was Budget Rent a Car where Browns Social House now sits. So much has changed. 😊

OP, enjoy your time in beautiful Victoria doing whatever makes you happy. I do suggest you take a side trip to Rogers Chocolates on Government Street - delicious Victoria Creams.

^ Replying to myself, found out it used to be called the Towne Cinema when we lived in Victoria. Gosh that was bugging me! LOL 🤣🤣🤣
