I will be up in the Portland area for about a week in Aug and I will consume exactly zero ounces of lobster while up there. 🤢

Now, trips to Amatos for italian sandwiches and Pats for some pizza on the other hand, will be multiple.  Plus a whoopee pie or two. 😬

Would you say that Ned Devine's is "better" than Legal Seafoods?

Thanks

I've never been to Legal Seafoods so I can't compare it to anything, but the two are completely different types of restaurants with menus that wouldn't have a lot of overlap. Ned Devine's is an Irish pub type of establishment while Legal Seafoods is a full-blown seafood restaurant.

ok, went to Highroller and had BOTH the lobster lollipop (regular, no fried) and the lobster roll.

the bread was toasted PERFECTLY! yum!

How many oz is a lobster tail?

It can vary  by establishment....  3 to 8 oz      Avoid filers like llettuce  etc.... Bread+Lobster+ butter ( or small mayo)

High Roller and Becky’s Diner are good choices for Lobster Rolls. Becky’s is about a 20 minute walk from port. HR is a little closer.

going back to Portland.

this time on NCL.

anything different in the lobster roll from becky's diner over highroller?

I like the rustic diner feel at Becky’s. Either one is a good choice. I’m sure there are other places with good LR. It is Maine.

High roller uses a toasted brioche roll, and gives you a choice of 9 sauces, while Becky's is more traditional and uses a hot dog roll, and butter or mayo.
