UK Drinks Package Deal

I am sailing one the Independence at the end of this month and noticed there is 20% the drinks package. 

 

Is this 20% off drinks package deal a good one? 

 

It's is currently £41 per person per day for the deluxe package.... 

 

Can you get a better deal once on the ship?

Very unlikely. Ignore any  "% off" claims, just buy if it has value for you and then look for price drops.

It was at £38 for our sailing (Sept) a couple of weeks ago.

If you are D+ there is 30% off the DP on the ship.

As a current Diamond you have free drinks in the DL or 3 free drinks during D cocktail hours in any bar.

We got off Independence on May 28th and for us the DP would never be worth buying as the 3.5 hour cocktail hours is enough.

This was the DL when we were on.

The ship was lovely I'm sure you will love it.

This is a good point and I have never previously purchased a DP. 

 

There are more seats than ever before which isn't a bad thing !

The ship was fantastic.

On embarking the ship they were giving everyone free glasses of champagne on the Royal Promenade.

The food in Giovanni's was lovely.

There was a good selection of food in the Windjammer.

Waiter service in the bars was a little sparce as most people seemed to like to go to the bars themselves.

If you are D+ after this cruise make sure you phone or email C&A to get your cabin gifts.

This was ours on arrival.

You will love the ship.

Something I haven't seen for a while, only on celebrity.
