FLL PRINCESS CRUISE TERMINAL

Recommended Posts

I am hoping that someone will know the answer.  Is there a special

place to entered the cruise terminal for handicap people.  We have ordered

a wheelchair at the terminal.  I will be coming by taxi and do not have

the ability to stand more than a few minutes (5 ) at most.  Would

it be better to board the ship near departure?  Thanks for your

help

There is a drop off space near the entrance with seats. It is outside. You wait there until a "pusher" is available. Even if you have your own chair you will need to wait for a pusher unless you have someone with you to do the pushing. I would either come early when the pushers first arrive on the scene or later when the rush of people needing pushers has abated. This works well if it is not raining. There is an attendant who will have a list of people who have requested assistance.

Thanks you so much.  This will help us plan our arrival time.  Thanks again.

The seats are right next to the entrance to the terminal. There is usually a staff person directing people right there, but there is also signage indicating that the seating is for those with mobility disabilities.

As you are facing the terminal, the handicap assistance area is along the right side of the building.  You will see a lot of people there but most of them will be departing passengers waiting for transportation.

We always arrive between 10:00 and 10:30 am and they normally begin assisting passengers inside around 11:00 am.  They will get you through security/check in and then take you upstairs to a special waiting room.  The port person will leave you there at this point and you will wait for personnel from the ship to come and assist you on board.

You will normally be allowed on board around 12:00 noon.
