The beach at HMC is all sand, no corals, so just the occasional fish swims by....some might recommend snorkeling out at the rocks way down past the end of the beach but that could be dangerous so I wouldn't do it.

 

Might be best to save your snorkeling for another port rather than at the beach in HMC.  I don't know if there are any snorkel excursions from HMC, with a beach this nice I've never wanted to leave it and go elsewhere.
