Heating pad

Recommended Posts

They are likely to confiscate your heating pad if they catch it.

Contact special_needs@rccl.com and explain that you need a heating pad and extension.  They lent us one when my wife had a back problem.

We took a heating pad and extension cord on one cruise...hubby had a bad shoulder and it helped him a lot!  If you pack it correctly, it's unlikely to be noticed.  Roll it up and stick it in one of hubby's shoes.  You could also bring a hot water bottle...the water in the bathroom gets MIGHTY HOT!

We bought one in San Juan and took it on with no problem. Not sure how it was plugged in on the ship.  Used in the hotel and seem to remember a massage and hot tubs on the ship helping the back problem!

A few packs of ThermaCare style air activated heat wraps would probably be a better bet. No need to worry about port security confiscating them, and no need to ask for your steward to provide an extension cord to use them.
