snowglobe #4 Posted July 3 Once took a ferry from Naples that dropped me off on the tiny pier of Ginostra. Spent 3 nights at a B&B there, with nothing else to do but read the first two Inspector Montalbano books translated to English, count donkeys, and hike up to see Stromboli faithfully spew a small geyser-like column every 20 mins or so like clockwork.  Amazing to see a full-blown eruption. Thanks for posting this! Would Vesuvius be next??
flyingshoes #5 Posted July 3 Circled it on Quest and on Pursuit. At night. Never put on much of a show though. This one is over the top. Saw one hiker was killed, hope everyone else is OK.
