I've done an island tour on Grand Cayman that stops at the Turtle farm. Not sure if its the same tour.

Everyone should visit sting ray city at least once...and not with a ship excursion which has just too many people.  Many local companies do that tour.  Other than that, there’s not really much to see on grand cayman...just walk around, shop, have a drink....don’t waste your money on tours.

The Turtle Encounter and Island Tour, you snorkel with the turtles and also have a tour of the island.

We did this a couple of years ago. You do a partial tour of the island, stopping at the turtle farm. You tour the farm, ending with an opportunity to snorkel in what's basically a giant serpentine swimming pool with the turtles before completing the drive around the island. The turtle encounter is actually pretty cool; the tour of the island is OK. We enjoyed it.

Alternatively, you can simply take the public bus to the turtle farm and pay the admission, then take the public bus back to the ship when you are done.

What is the turtle farm like?

A passenger on our last cruise told me she walked past the turtle farm and saw turtles piled on top of each other in a fenced area. She decided not to go in because of the conditions she witnessed from the outside. I generally don't book excursions that involve animals, unless observing them in the wild. Is the turtle farm connected to the snorkel with the turtles excursion?
