Aqua Class on Solstice

Recommended Posts

We recently booked only our second cruise on Celebrity and took advantage of some great pricing to upgrade to Aqua Class on the Solstice.

Would love some insight on Blu, the Persian Garden and other perks for Aqua Class, specifically for the Solstice.

Thanks so much.

Blu is open for Breakfast and Dinner, no lunches.  You will receive a letter in your stateroom explaining that Aqua Class is anytime dining, no reservations needed.  The letter will ask you to come a certain time the first night but you can just ignore that.  The dining room is mostly 2 top seating and is much more intimate than the MDR.   There are certain items from the MDR that you can get which are Celebrity favorites, shrimp cocktail, escargot, onion soup and Creme Brûlée.  The menu changes each night and there are three items which are on the menu every night, a steak, fish and chicken dish.   Breakfasts are excellent in Blu, don't miss them.   Just a point, if you are traveling with anyone who is not in Blu they cannot eat in Blu, even for a fee and Celebrity has always been very strict about it.

Minor clarification - suite passengers can also eat in Blu when seating is available.

IMO, Blu has significantly better food than the MDR but not as good as a for-fee specialty restaurant; and it is definitely quieter than the MDR with more attentive service.

Unlimited access to the Persian Garden is quite nice on S-class ships like Solstice - seven or eight heated lounges in a room with floor to ceiling windows; along with a separate sauna room and aroma room. However, can be quite busy - users are asked to limit their time on one of the lounges to 20 or 30 minutes (not sure of the number) but unfortunately it is not enforced.

True, forgot about that, thanks for the clarification....

Can someone tell me about the relaxation room?  I know it’s supposed to be a waiting room for spa clients, but how crowded would it be perhaps on a glacier day in Alaska if the view isn’t great on my Aqua class balcony?  Also, how crowded is the thermal spa and/or the covered pool on sea days?  From experience, I know no one has a crystal ball 😎
