Infinity vs reflection

Can get 9 day on Infinity (4 and 5 day back to back) for same price as the seven day reflection. Also more obc on infinity. Thoughts? Would be over New Years. Was on equinox last year and loved it. What would you do??

All depends on itinerary for me.  Love both ships but xtra days 9 vs7 would go for that

Not a big fan of Reflection usually..

But in this case sounds like a better choice..esp for New Years celebration!

 

B2b... Infinity  much older ship, cozier but short cruises... usually diff clientele

 

How do ports compare?  Dining ?

it's really 8 days on the infinity....hard to count the changeover day as a real cruise day.  Without knowing the itineraries, it's hard to recommend one over the other.

First leg dec 26 four day infinity Nassau and key west followed by key west and Cozumel five day.  Reflection dec 27 western is Cozumel costa maya and grand cayman. Actually prefer infinity stops. Love key west and will do excursions in Nassau. Dining makes no difference for us as never eat in specialty restaurants also don’t really drink. The big diff is with Infinity get 300 obc twice compared with once on reflection. Will use for beach and dolphin swim excursions. We will range from age 19 to 84 in four cabins. Everyone has been on multiple cruises. Two of us are elite

We did a four then five day back to back earlier this year on infinity in celebrity then sky suite, ship is a little run down but not that bad , excellent buffet , limited entertainment, the back to back was very smooth took about a hour. Suite perks were really nice.

We have cruised on Reflection a lot because the prices have always been better when we booked.  However we will book any other Celebrity ship rather than being on Reflection again.  We love the millennium class ships.  However the short cruises can be a real eye opener and may be taken over by large groups of very young cruisers.

Thanks No suite for us but at least elite benefits. For the b2b do you get off and then back on with new card? We want to walk around Miami a bit anyways but hope don’t have to line up again!

Thanks for info about young cruisers. I think may be mainly families since over Xmas holidays. I have only been on summit years ago and equinox last year. Loved them both!

Looks like the itins are similar..Western Carib...

Key West is  a good stop and Nassau offers varied excursions. 

  We do not tender anymore.( Gr Cayman) and  found Costa Maya  a one and done .

 

.so in retroslect the Inf may be your best bet, esp with more  OBC for excursions,,..

 

The area near Miami port  is really not conducive  to walking around from what we recall

You won't have to line up again. You'll get a special re boarding line that will expedite boarding. You're close to Bayside Market and can walk around, shop and eat/drink. Lots to do for all ages. They have instructions for b2b cruisers which will make your transition easy, especially if you're keeping the same cabins.

Miami local here... if you do want to walk around Miami, I'd recommend you take an Uber/Lyft (or...gulp...cab) to your destination. As @hcat mentioned, the port is not walking distance to anything. Depending on your interests, look into Miami Beach/South Beach, Wynwood, and Brickell (including Brickell City Centre). Once there, you can walk around a ton in each of those destinations. Enjoy!

PS: My wife and I will be joining for the NYE 5-night cruise on Infinity!

Not my favorite ships.  Reflection is beautiful,  it way too crowded. Infinity is old, but not crowded. Go with Infinity.

Looks like I have more votes for infinity! Appreciate all the responses! The way I see it two extra days and more money for excursions. Just worried that it is a   Much older ship but seems to have  the same free food options.
