The train station is close to the port, you will need a cab, and if you want high speed, you will need to switch trains in Rome.

There are no direct trains from Civitavecchia, the port, to Florence.  The fastest route is to go to Rome Termini and get a Frecce train there, which takes 90 minutes to get to Florence.

You can take a train from Civitavecchia to Rome Termini or a car service.  Note that if you take the train from Civitavecchia only the IC or Frecce trains have assigned seating and arrive to the same part of the station as the high speed trains to Florence.  If you take a regionale train you'll have a three block walk in Rome to the trains to Florence.

Both Trenitalia and Italotreno run high speed trains on this route so check both for the best combination of price and time to meet your needs.  You can save a considerable amount of money on your ticket if you purchase in advance, directly from the train operator.
