Shirley Temples...

Going on the Breakaway in December. My daughter loves Shirley Temples. Are they included in the soda package? Thank you!

Good Question  --  I've had them on the Classic Package - but not sure about the soda...  Throwback to childhood...  I've also added a little Grey Goose or Absolut...  AKA Dirty Shirley

So with the regular beverage package, if you order one of these how do they charge it?  A Shirley Temple with a shot I imagine is less than $15.  

 

2 shots added still under $15?

 

Do they serve Ketel One?

We drank Ketel and Tito’s all week with various mixers.    And I don’t have answer on the double

Never had a problem ordering a Shirley Temple with the soda package. Have never been charged extra.

Was on the Getaway in April of this year with a 10 and 12 year old and I’m surprised they didn’t turn into Shirley Temples! Waiters even brought them one each for breakfast as a joke by the second morning.....and with extra cherries! No extra charge!!!

I have read in several places that adding a shot is not covered by the package. But if you order an extra shot on the side, it is. Then just dump it in your drink. That’s what I plan to do with my pina coladas!

On our last cruise - Sept 2017 on the Escape - we ordered doubles all the time with the package.  But doing that you could only get the one drink at a time instead of the two normally allowed.

Happiness Is  --  we grew up calling it a "Kiddy Cocktail"...

Shirley Temple  --  7-Up or Sprite w/ Grenadine & topped w/ a cherry...

Roy Rogers  --  Coke w/ Grenadine & topped w/ a cherry...

Interesting. It sounds like it may vary by bartender then. A couple of people have reported that if they ordered a drink with a second shot, they were charged the difference over the covered drink. Which is silly. I will play it safe and order a shot on the side. I have no need of two separate drinks at a time anyway!

I have ordered doubles in the past and never had an issue. You can get two drinks at once, so no worries asking for a double that I saw.
