Excursion in Belize...with Carnival or without?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! We're looking at excursions to do, however none are jumping out at us that are booked directly with Carnival. I don't feel comfortable finding excursions on our own.

We have been to Belize twice now, maybe 3 times; the first time we got off and walked around, the 2nd time we got off, tried finding someone that was recommended, but never could find them, and the vendors at the port were very pushy and I felt uncomfortable so we got back on the ship.

Has anyone booked excursions on their own in Belize? Do you feel safe going outside of the ships excursions? Any recommendations?

We use King David Castillo (AlTournative Belize Services) and get a private driver. He's the #1 rated guide in Belize and we love him and his company. We felt very safe and comfortable everywhere we went in Belize. Including the restaurants, schools, in the jungle, shopping, the ruins, gas stations and just riding around.

I second king David we had a great tour with  him. He was involved with everyone in our group  ages 15 to 80.
