Shore Excursion showing $0 - confused!

Recommended Posts

I called NCL and  booked  the Mr. Roberts Tramway shore excursion at the quoted price of $35 ea to be paid on the ship.  I asked if I would still get a $50 credit and the rep said "as far as I know" - I personally don't think that is correct and I will only get $35.   Regardless - when I look at available shore excursions  left to choose from the price listed is showing as $0.  I'm sure this is not because I booked it but wondering why this happened?  Anyone know?  I will call but hoping to avoid being on hold if possible!

Well the credit is 50 per cabin, so assuming (dangerous) that there are 2 of you on the account the total charge for the excursion would be $70 - 50 for a net $20 for the cabin.  Have no input on the other issue, sorry.

I'd say it sounds like a glitch in their system.  Give it an hour or a day and look again?

The NCL site generally doesn’t even show you a shorex after you’ve booked it. My recommendation to folks is that, before booking a shorex, you take a screenshot of the description and the price. Especially when you are booking by phone and not being charged until you are on board.

The $50 shorex promo credit is per stateroom and per port. If two of you in the stateroom are booked, you will get the $50 credit off the $70 total.

and if it's only one of you then you will get $35 (there's no credit for the $15 balance)

This is also one of those excursions that I would not book early. If the weather is bad, the view from the top of Mt Roberts  is not very good. You can also buy the ticket at the tram for less $$. Go whale watching, dog sledding, see the gold mine, or Mendenhall Glacier.

You do NOT GET the shore excursion credit until AFTER you have taken the excursion.

OP: I have just checked this on line, and once you book a shorex, NCL's web site will show it to you as costing $0.  Don't waste any time on the phone over this.

I did Mendenhall -for $2.00 each way on the public bus but did have to walk over a mile.  Thinking of doing the Whale watch in Icey Point .  Thanks for your input!  Trying to economize a little!
