Pullman beds star princess

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

We're going on our first cruise and have booked for October 7 for 15 days to Hawaii. Our room has pullman beds (4 of us in a room), does anyone have pictures of the set up or could tell me what there like.... sizing, height ect.

Thanks for any help.

What kind of cabin? Inside, balcony, something else?

If I remember right it will most likely will look like this except in the space between the beds where the mirror is you’ll have a window. Top bunks are pretty uncomfortable (and small) for adults so hopefully it’ll be kids on the top bunk, especially since it’s a 15 night cruise.

You can have the steward(s) swing the bunks up to the wall during the day, or leave them down for naps, just let them know what you want on the first day.

A key point - With the cabins where I have seen the double-deck beds, there is not enough headroom on the lower beds to sit up while the upper bunk is in the lowered position.

Sapphire princess obstructed view deck 8

This is one side, the two bedside cabinets are pushed together in middle under the window.

If you are tall then you won't be able to sit up on bottom bunk when upper bunk is lowered, but the children should be able to sit up in upper bunk.

Princess has a warning notice that  bunks may be dangerous for under 9's.

The bed rails on the upper bunk have managed to keep my 12 year old from falling out, so sturdy!

One thing to note is that the sprinkler head is just above the ladder access to the upper bunk.
