Cape Liberty to Philadelphia transportation

Honestly from a convenience and even price standpoint you are better off just taking the UberX from Cape Liberty all the way to Philadelphia. If you did what the other poster suggested you would spend about $20 for the UberX from the port to Newark Penn Station and then another at least $44 per person (if you prebook the Pennsylvanian train, which is the least expensive or possibly more like $60 per person for a normal Northeast Regional) on Amtrak. Total cost is a minimum of $108 but most likely a bit more depending on train. Total travel time will be at least 2+ hours when you consider the time waiting for the train and getting to your final destination on the backend.

If you take an UberX from Cape Liberty directly to Philadelphia its estimated at $116 including all tolls. Total travel time is about an hour and 40 minutes. There wont be any traffic on a Saturday morning. We often do this (we live in Center City Philly) and its a lot less hassle and it doesn't cost hardly anything more.

Depending on the time of year, you can hit shore traffic on a Saturday morning.

One of the things that makes me nervous about long distance Uber is that I’ve heard the driver doesn’t know how long the ride is until he picks you up.  You experienced distance Uber folks, has that ever been an issue for you?

Not true anymore-- we asked our driver the last time we used one from JFK to Philly and his app tells him that it is a long distance ride and gives him a chance to decline it. We've never had an upset driver over the distance-- actually the contrary.
