Free at Sea should include non-alcoholic package

Did an Alaskan cruise earlier this summer and planning another cruise in 2021.

 

As I look at the free offers, 20% for latitude members, free airfare, upgrades, etc....

 

I wish they gave the pop package as an offer (with the passenger paying the 20% gratuities).

 

I do not drink a lot of alcohol, if any.

 

If I buy two pop packages it will cost $178.82.

 

If I get the "free" drink package I'm paying $371.14 in fees for two people.

 

Would be nice for NCL to acknowledge that not everyone drinks (and maybe even go so far as to mention that certain people can't drink - medical conditions, AA, etc).

 

Before I make final payment I'm going to call NCL to make some changes to my booking and will ask at that time but I doubt they will say yes.

NCL’s free Beverage Package allows you to order all of the soda package along with virgin drinks (strawberry daiquiri less alcohol).

I don't drink alcohol but I like the Free at Sea beverage package, some bartenders make amazing non-alcoholic drinks that are way more interesting that pop - I can try lots and don't feel obligated to drink what I'm not enjoying

Currently I have the Wifi and Shore Excursion. There really is no savings as you don't get money back from only taking 1 promo (or no promos depending on your room category).

The SDP and the $50 per port excursion credit are both worth more in most instances.

I personally really like the ShoreX perk, real money back. If the Wifi is important to you that's a great choice as well, it isn't something I want onboard, I like to disconnect.

That was my thought as well. I wish they offered a lot of things they do not, but I realize they have to make choices and as long as one can use the alcohol part to buy non alcoholic drinks they are pretty much covered. I think a lot of people who only drink soda wish they carried more brands of soda, but they don't. I do understand the frustration though. Of course a lot of us wish specialty coffee was included and could care less about the Wi-Fi Someday maybe they will change the perks.
