Hello,  I have a really odd question that I have not seen asked so I figured I would ask. Does anyone know if a personal check would be cashed on board to avoid having to use the ATM and being charged fees?  If checks are cashed is there a limit as to how much they will give and are there any fees? Thanks in advance for any information. Mk

The last time I did it the limit was 1 check for $200 during a cruise. If you have an Amex card its $250. One other thing is that will also cash travelers checks in larger amounts.

We used traveler's checks in 2015 for our med cruise, but the ship also had a limit on how much they would cash onboard of these per cruise, too- it was higher- like maybe $1,000 or $1,200 per cabin.
