Labadee beach lounger worth it?

On Labadee, the clamshells are only on Adrenaline Beach, which isn't really a good beach for getting in the water.

I haven't used one of the clamshells personally, but I've heard people who have used them complain that they are stifling hot because there is no airflow in them.

I'm a redhead and I've always been able to find shade at Columbus Cove.  Sometimes I have to drag a chair a few feet, and I'm back away from the water's edge, but I've always been able to find a tree to park under.

I've also never had to pay anyone for a lounger -- they are free.

I wondered if they would be stuffy. Is Columbus Cove a good area for swimming?

IMO, Columbus Cove is the BEST area for swimming.

Both the beach and water are sandy, no water shoes needed.  (You will find the occasional rock or clam, like any beach, but it's 99% sand.)

Nellie's Beach is also sandy, but a much smaller area so it can get really crowded there.  Columbus Cove is a huge beach and water area, so while there are a lot of people, there is plenty of room in the water for them all without constantly bumping into other people.
