favorite sea day activity on Carnival?

Recommended Posts

what's your favorite sea day activity (non lounger division) on a Carnival cruise?

it's been a while since I've been on board and I don't recall anything being too terribly unique, but im sure that's my memory failing.

1. Afternoon tea time - I go mostly for the pastries and relaxing atmosphere in the dining room.

2. Steakhouse cooking demo with samples

3. Strolling through the shops

4. Napping

Trivia.  I like the challenge of winning a ship on a stick.

Reading and a movie, if I'm on a ship with a Dive In theater.

It varies on the mood I'm in, the person I'm cruising with.  Anywhere from chilling on deck, to trivia, to reading on the balcony or hanging out at a bar.  It changes all the time.

Spend lots of time trieing to spot those elusive flying fish...😎

We seem to venture in and out of the casino too.

I typically do not spend time laying out on sea days due to the crowds - though I may go out early in the morning, grab a drink, read & then pack it in when it starts to get crowded.  I then spend quite a bit of time in the casino, go to trivia when it's a subject I like, relax on the balcony with my kindle, and take a little nap before taking a shower and getting ready for the evening.

I enjoy starting a sea day with the sea day brunch, meeting new people.  Then sitting at a bar interacting with the variety of people there.

Aren’t the various cakes usually served only on sea days?

Is that your favorite sea day activity?

Sitting in a lounge chair in the sun facing the ocean. A kindle in one hand and a drink in the other. Perfect day!

Since the OP mentioned non lounger division, my favorite activities are drinking and socializing at a bar, playing trivia for categories I am familiar with (scoring 2 out of 20 on games like Harry Potter gets old fast), playing in the casino, and spending time in the thermal suite on ships that have one.

Sea Day Brunch -- it's seriously one of the best meal experiences on Carnival.

Also, always on the last sea-day, there's the Behind the Fun tour.

Smoking cigars and throwing dice.

Good to hear "smoking cigars" since I'd like to do the same but wasn't sure cigar smoking would be allowed.

- Sea day brunch: gotta have my filet mignon and scrambled eggs

- Cigar/bourbon while watching the sea

- Carribean steel drums on the lido. That music makes me relax like no other

- Serenity once I've seen what I want to see at the lido

For me, 90%+ of my sea day is up on lido/serenity until about 4 pm. Trivia is not for me, but I'm really glad they have it. It's great to have activities for different likes around the ship, to reduce the lido clutter.

Port days are still my favorite. 1-2 sea days are just fine, once you get into more, you start to get a bit bored.

Only in the outdoor smoking area is it allowed.

Our favorite activity is the Sea Day Brunch.
However, our very favorite thing to do is a non-activity: doing nothing -- lazing on the balcony, watching the world go by!

I would second that emotion, and I am unanimous in my decision. :classic_biggrin:

I am enamored with the blue water. We don't have that where I come from.
