Mariner room choice during storm

Recommended Posts

We are in a JS that is supposed to be leaving on Monday. I would not be surprised if it were delayed though. We currently have room 1358 on deck 10.   It is located on the side towards the aft.   A few different rooms have opened up in the same category and I was thinking about seeing if one was better. I’m assuming after the hurricane it still may be choppy water but I’m not sure. Room number 1106 has opened up which is one of the six rooms on the 11th deck, Which seemed pretty cool. A room also opened up on the seventh deck aft but I think that one has a partially obstructed view but a larger balcony. What would you choose?

If you want to minimize motion, go as low and close to midship as possible.

I don't think the seas will be all that bad after the hurricane has left the area.  But 1106 is higher up and quite a bit forward.  You'll probably feel as much or more motion in 1106 than you will in 1358.  If you spend a lot of time at the pool and use the spa, 1106 would certainly be convenient.  But if you're concerned about motion, I wouldn't move to it.

You don't say which cabin in deck 7 you'd be in, but if the far aft, you are right, the view will be obstructed.  Personally I'd stay where you are.  I usually try to get as close to midships as I can for convenience.
