Perfect use of the ship that was supposed to be out on a trip with passengers this week.  I seem to recall cruise lines doing the same after Maria(?).

This is great news.  Was supposed to be my cruise, but wonderful to hear they’re using it to do good for an area that’s devastated.

I dunno about that.  I’m still pretty peeved about NCL’s terrible communications and changing my cruise several times without letting me or my TA know.  That’s still a seriously bad area that needs addressing pronto.

That said, they could have just sailed the Breakaway back to Miami and awaited for the next cruise to embark.  Instead, they’re doing good and making a significant financial commitment to an area that desperately needs it.

I expect that most ships sailing for the Bahamas over the next few weeks will be used partly as cargo to bring supplies.

I remember years ago when an earthquake hit Haiti.  Royal Caribbean had just finished the dock at Labadee. On every ship heading there, they also brought relief supplies for a couple of weeks that were offloaded.
