Bliss: Best place to eat when you first board?

What time does the Haven restaurant open on the Bliss on embarkation day?

Not sure on the Bliss, but on our Getaway trip, we were in the first group to board and the Haven restaurant was open as soon as we finished with the Concierge presentation.  Nothing like a good lobster bisque to start the trip off right!

The Haven ... if only I was so lucky.

With two kids in College... and still paying off the third from a couple years ago..............we are lucky to be above the water line!

My Bride got a Haven room on her last (girls) cruise. Said she wanted to do another with me this time, so she booked what was supposed to be a family cruise that dwindled down to us and my SIL/BIL. Even though we got a sweet deal, it still is rather steep, but alas, she wanted it.

I'm torn between it though. She likes the casino, I like the bars, the poolside ones are my preference. Don't know how I'll fit in with the Haven  package, but damitall, I'll suffer if I have to!

We are going on the JOY in Oct. Wondering about the Local for lunch. Do they have fish & chips always or just sometimes?

At least on the Bliss (sister ship to the Joy, nearly identical actually) I believe the menu at The Local is the same all week.

Haven often gets Margaritaville free for first day lunch, and it is a great way to start off; have some Volcano Nachos and try the different margaritas—but look out, they are FILLING!  I shared those with hubby and had conch fritters and 3 margaritas and couldn’t eat another bite!  So next year I’ll skip the nachos and order one of the burgers to go with the fritters and margaritas....

For a fee Margaritaville is great. Even though Haven peeps eat there free shouldn’t be too crowded.

i saw mville on the BA and assume same setup on the bliss. do they offer any alternatives for the winter sailings because sailaway in NYC can be brutal and i cannot image a soul even doing Mville free

now if our butler can bring it to us....well thats different 😉

Agree, Taste or Savor is the best choice for sit down dining. It does not open until 12:00. We were onboard at 11am and went to Observation Lounge and got some great seats. They have small lunch buffet there . Remember, there are additional port taxes added to any drinks you might have while in Seattle, before sail away.

What type of foods were in the Observation Lounge?  Curious if you are talking just snacks or actual lunch food?

Assorted sandwiches, chips, fruit, salad bar and assorted desserts (liked carrot cake, only day they had it all week). Think lite lunch.
