Getaway Shore Excursion Question

Sailing Dec 8-13, 2019 on Getaway, stopping in Progreso. We signed up for All-Inclusive Beach Resort Getaway. This is our first time at an all inclusive anything!  Do we have to stay the full five hours or can we leave at our leisure?  How do we get back to the ship if we leave early on our own? Is this excursion close to the cruise port?  Anyone else on this NCL excursion? Thanks for all the help.
