Our first time on the Anthem.  We have connecting cabins on Deck 9.   Does anyone know if the partition on the balcony can be opened or removed between our two cabins?

Also, what is your opinion on the best time to reserve North Star - at sea or in port.  I'm not sure if it is open while at sea due to wind.

Balcony partitions can be opened with the approval of ship's management.

Just tell the room steward your have Host Clarea's permission to open them.

We had the partition open in August.  Port for the North Star!

Both!

 

I've done NS multiple times at sea on both Quantum and Anthem.  On the Quantum and Anthem TAs, all days were at sea!

 

Also did Anthem NS in port several times (Bermuda, Bar Harbor).

You can also wait for the NS as a walk on

Or you can spend nine nights and never make it to North Star due to high winds, maintenance down time or being ashore.  Good luck.  You'll need it.

We did the NS at sea on our first cruise on Anthem. For our upcoming Anthem cruise we are planning on doing it during a port day. While it was super cool to experience while at sea, there wasn't much to see besides the open water. We're hoping it will be better at a port.

Have done this on every Anthem cruise.   We don't bother reserving it in advance.

 

We've only gone up on sea days, which we like.  Maybe next time we'll try it in a port.

Had the adjoining rooms on the 9th floor in June on AOS for the 5 day to Bermuda. Partition can be moved/ but not removed,  but on some adjoining cabins it swings to the side and blocks things.  We tried it and was not worth doing.  Not all adjoining cabins are the same, as the cabin steward informed us.
