Flight boards 11:30. We are fortunate enough to be flying business so checkin went quickly.  Some people were using curb-side check-in because there was a long line inside. Lisa thinks 40 people long.

I believe we have the sme flight home in March good to know we will have plenty of time. We usually always use curb side check-in so much easier. Thanks for your review and all your responses have safe travels home.

And last night back home Owen and his hockey teammates had a little bit of celebrity.

They were on the Local news and got to sit on the bench during warm-up for our local OHL team The London Knights. They got to watch the team roll over the Ottawa 67’s by a score of 3-0 with a sell out crowd of 9,040 people.

Side note, they have won 2 memorial cups under the ownership and coaching of Dale Hunter. 65AEBA8E-9583-43D8-AA2A-FD267FF3FDC3.thumb.jpeg.63baa2281b843a045d569cd85de0fab6.jpeg

Hi Andrew, your review was fun!

We are going on the 50th Birthday sailing and am fortunate to also be flying in business coming home from Miami.

Is there a separate check in line at the airport for business that made it quicker for you?

Just curious how much was the taxi fare?

Thanks! Safe travels home 😊

Do you drive down the morning of the cruise? How long does it usually take you from home to port?

Definitely for PE. Last time in Miami we stayed in North Bay to see my dad in Miami Shores.

Drive day of takes 3.5 hours depending on traffic

So a little info on Hurricane Dorian and CoCo Cay.  There was some visible damage, if you knew what to look for. I saw some paving stones that were washed away on the people mover tram path.

We also learned from Henry our cabin attendant that they lost 30 trees and tied together anything that could be on the centre of the island. They didn’t lose much but there was a lot of sand in the pools. They actually cleaned up 1,500 bags of sea grass from all over the island three days after they returned to the island. At the current point in time the ballon that takes people up is not operational.  It must have suffered some damage.

The waves must have been so high that there is still some sea grass along the pier edge.

Now for what is new at CoCo Cay, like starting Brand New Today NEW!

Today is the first day that they are hosting the CoCo Cay after hours party into the evening. Tonight they have having a ship staying late into the night for a BBQ, Junkanoo parade, Fly Boarding night display with a light show in the lagoon and fireworks.

We got to meet the crew that put on the fly boarding display.  Miami is their home. They have even been featured in a Devin Supertramp video. Yesterday they put on two small previews for the island guests. Our attendant showed us his video of their evening practice they did the night before with the light show included. Looks pretty awesome.

Here they are chillaxin.

And like that it was the end of the day at The Cay.

The white sand was so soft and amazing. Chill Island was a totally different, but just as amazing experience over Thrill Island water park. You could also say it left it’s mark on our collective memories.

That white sand also left a mark on our cabin. Nothing a washcloth didn’t take care of. Sure all the stewards love it.😉
