We had seen many icebergs , glaciers and glaciers close up from a boat . A little later on our cruise we would encounter an iceberg 130 ' tall , 5 miles wide and 11 miles long !

I like the silver riverlets flowing over the black rock

When we entered Puerto Las Vacas  we were told to take a hike . We didn't see any cows but this greeted us instead

Both of us were having some knee issues so we walked around the boat a little

Although we spent seven weeks and 49 days on the Royal Princess earlier this year going around South America,  I  was unable to make it to Antarctica. As others have mentioned it was quite a pricey trip with no guarantee of a refund if cancelled due to weather.

The highlight for us was the Falkland Islands and able to spend time with the Penquins.

The Falkland Islands were our favorite port for Penguins .

It's about a 3 hour ride to Torres del Paine and it involves crossing into Chile so we left at 08:00 . We did stop for a couple photos like these Rhea .

The boarder crossing meant paperwork for both countries and being stamped in and out twice .

We stopped near here for lunch
